Début des années 2000, Alain Hamblenne développe une méthode, pratique et accessible, appelée « La Grille », pour aligner précisément l’objectif d’un appareil photo sur l’axe de rotation d’une tête panoramique.
Cette technique vise à positionner la pupille d’entrée (souvent confondue avec le point nodal) de l’objectif au point de rotation, afin d’éliminer les erreurs de parallaxe lors de la prise de vues de panoramas.
Cette méthode, publiée en septembre 2004, est détaillée dans un tutoriel disponible ici en français et en anglais.
Elle est largement reconnue dans la communauté des photographes panoramistes pour sa simplicité de mise en œuvre et son efficacité.

In the early 2000s, Alain Hamblenne introduced a practical and accessible method known as “The Grid” to precisely align a camera lens with the rotational axis of a panoramic head (NPP – No Parallax Point).
The goal of this technique is to position the entrance pupil (often mistakenly referred to as the nodal point) of the lens at the exact point of rotation. This eliminates parallax errors when capturing panoramic images.

Thanks to its simplicity and effectiveness, it has become a well-respected reference within the panoramic photography community.
